FACTS Student Billing

Dear Parents,

We implemented our new FACTS financial system this year. All school fees are posted to your student’s FACTS account. Once you’ve logged into FACTS, there’s a Financial tab on the left side of the screen. Once you’ve clicked Financial, you’ll see Prepay Accounts, Balances and Financial Links. Lunch/breakfast charges are in the Prepay display and you can click Add Funds to apply a payment. Fees including tuition, resource fee, preschool, before school care and after school care are posted to the Balances display and you can click to Make a Payment if you have not already set up an automatic withdrawal. You can also click on Financial Home under Financial Links to see all your financial information. FACTS send emails with balances due for all fees except lunch. We don’t want to annoy parents with multiple emails of lunch accounts getting low on funds day after day. Please check your lunch balance when looking at/paying other school fees and add funds accordingly.

Lunch is being charged differently this year. All student lunches including preschool are $2.75/meal. If a student purchases milk, it’s $0.40/milk.  Breakfast is available to those students signed up for before school care. Full breakfast is $1.30 but a la carte items are also available. Lunch/milk/breakfast charges are billed to pre-pay accounts. Parents can “Add funds” to this account either before or after charges are posted. Lunch/milk/breakfast charges posted will be “negative” and in red. Once a payment is made, if it’s more than what’s owed, it will be green and a “credit.”  As charges are posted, the “credit” amount will go down. Lunch/milk/breakfast charges are pushed into the financial system once a week, usually on Friday.  Please note, as of Tuesday, Sept 15th, ALL STUDENT LUNCHES ARE FREE.

Our school is participating in the “Seamless School Lunch Program”, through which the same funding that provided youth meals to the community during the summer is allowing schools to provide free lunches and breakfast for all students through December or until funds deplete (whichever occurs first). Breakfast is only available to students already enrolled in Before School Care. This program goes into effect September 15th and will greatly benefit our lunch program, as well as many family budgets.

Please contact the school office if you have any questions.

Spirit Day Sept. 17

Thursday, Sept. 17, is Spirit Day. Students and staff may wear spirit wear tops with uniform bottoms. Spirit wear can be ordered through the school website, sjcsmo.org, by clicking on the School Apparel tab.
