The Office of Vocations is pleased to announce that on Saturday, March 20, 2021, we will have our annual Diocesan Day of Prayer for Vocations at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Veneration 8:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Masses: Opening at 8:00 a.m. and Closing at 5:30 p.m. (Bilingual) With Most Reverend W. Shawn McKnight
Adoration 8:30 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.
Confessions 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (This will serve as our Lenten Communal Penance Service)
Reflections: 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (English and Spanish)
Tilma Workshops: 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. (English and Spanish)
This year, an exact image of the tilma containing Our Lady of Guadalupe will be presented by Guadalupe Missions, a subset of Hope of the Poor Missions which seeks to facilitate encounters with Jesus under the mantle of Our Lady of Guadalupe. More information may be found on their website: http://guadalupemissions.org/
Please join the Office of Vocations in this wonderful opportunity to not only encounter the image of the Patroness of the Americas, but also make this a day of prayer for an increase of Vocations to the Diocesan Priesthood for our Diocese. This day will be a similar format to the previous years: we will begin with Holy Mass, Confessions (in English & Spanish) will be available all day, a couple of reflections/talks will be given, and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be happening all day in the cathedral. The day will conclude with the regularly scheduled Parish Sunday Vigil Mass at 5:30 P.M. celebrated by the Most Reverend W. Shawn McKnight. The reflections and workshops will be in Spanish as well, through means of a translator app, and the closing Mass will have bilingual elements.
