JP2 Young Adults
Inspired by Saint John Paul II, we seek to be an intentional community that walks with each other on the journey towards Jesus Christ and to be a witness to those around us.
Growing in faith and community
JP2 Young Adults is a community of young adults (18-39ish) of the Jefferson City area, based out of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph.
We gather with a mission of building intentional relationships, we aim to grow closer to Christ, His Church, and each other through small groups and social events.
The model of discipleship Christ gave us in his formation of the Apostles shows the importance of community and life-sharing for a thriving spiritual life. Through small groups, we seek to build our young adult community through friendship with each other and faith formation in a group setting.

Additional Info: “The purpose of The Crux is to invite participants to make Jesus Christ the center of their lives. The title comes from the Latin word crux which means “cross.” It follows the example of St. Paul, “to preach Christ crucified” so that others may come to know the love that God has for us. The word crux today also refers to a place of decision or turning point. We want this study to be an experience where the participants can gaze upon the cross of Jesus Christ and come to a decision about Him in their own lives.”
Led by: Jessica Cook & Ashley Wiskirchen
Day & Time: Weekdays, during the day; we’ll find a “best fit” together
Location: Rotating between the Cook & Wiskirchen homes, and other group members if willing.
Topic: Lenten Devotional through Blessed is She
Additional Info: We may choose to purchase BIS journals (and help cover the cost) or may use the free daily devotionals to find time in the Word each day, and come together to discuss over food & playing kiddos at our meetings. We may also try to attend an Adoration hour together 1/month or more often if it works out 😉
